COVID-19 FAQs

We understand that you may have questions and concerns about COVID-19 while living at The Landing. Your health and safety is of utmost importance to us.  We have implemented policies and procedures to address COVID-19 at The Landing. While we have done our best with these plans, we remind you that there is inherent risk by choosing to live in a housing complex. We hope the information on this page is helpful, but if you have further questions please feel free to call, email, or stop by the office.

These policies and procedures are subject to change as circumstances and CDC recommendations evolve.

  • What is The Landing doing to protect tenants?

    • Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed in the office, the common room, the workout room, the elevators, and the shuttle. Signage has been added throughout the complex that encourages social distancing. Occupancy limits have been set for the shuttle.  Commonly touched surfaces are cleaned multiple times a day. If you have other suggestions on how we can protect you around The Landing please stop by the office and let us know.

  • Will the shuttle run?

    • Yes, the shuttle will be running, but to help with social distancing only 14 people (not including the driver) can ride on the shuttle at once. We are also encouraging tenants to wear a mask while they are on the shuttle. Each time the shuttle returns to The Landing it will be wiped down. We understand this will be quite a change, but we feel it’s important to protect you and other tenants who may ride the shuttle.

  • Will the common room be open?

    • The common room is currently open, but please allow for social distancing and masks are strongly encouraged.

    • We also have outdoor common spaces such as the firepits and BBQ grill that are open. You will not need to reserve these spaces, however, you can reserve them on your Landing account. While these locations are outside, we still encourage tenants to follow social distancing guidelines.

  • Will the workout room be open?

    • The workout room is currently open, but to allow for social distancing we have limited ooccupancy to 3 people.  We ask that tenants wipe down the machinery they use before and after their workout with cleaning products that we will provide.

  • Will Thankful Thursdays still happen?

    • Yes! We will continue to provide snacks on Thursday’s in the office.

  • What happens if I test positive for COVID-19?

    • If you have experienced any symptoms related to COVID-19 as listed by the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html) we encourage you to immediately seek medical advice and get tested right away. In the event that you do test positive, Eastern Idaho Public Health will be contacting you and may ask you to quarantine.  See https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/end-home-isolation.html for additional information.

If you are able to go home to quarantine/isolate you are more than welcome to do so.  If, after you quarantine for the time specifed by Eastern Idaho Public Health, you still have symptoms we ask that you continue to quarantine/isolate until those symptoms are gone.  We recommend that you have a plan in place in the event that you have to return home to quarantine.

If you go home, please be respectful of roommates who may be nervous about you coming back.  If you wish to not come back, and would rather finish the semester from home, please let us know and we will prorate and refund the remainder of your contract.

  • What happens if someone I live with or have come in contact with tests positive for COVID- 19?

    • If you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 we recommend that you follow current CDC guidleines regarding quarantine. Those guidelines can be found here, https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/end-home-isolation.html. Through contact tracing you may receive a call from Eastern Idaho Public Health. If you have a roommate who tests positive you will be asked to follow the CDC quaratine guidelines found in the link above. This quarantine/isolation period will restart each time one of your roommates tests positive.

    • If someone in your apartment is coming back after quarantine/isolation and you feel uncomfortable, please let us know and we will try to help and do our best to accommodate your concerns.
